Trust & Safety

Your wedding. Your guests. Your peace of mind.

At Not a Wedding Crasher, trust and safety are built into every step of the experience. From identity verification to secure payments and respectful interactions, we're committed to creating a platform that feels thoughtful, transparent, and protected from beginning to end.

Safety pillars

Four commitments we make to everyone on the platform.

Verified Identities

Every guest and host completes government ID and biometric verification before transacting on the platform.

Authentic Wedding Experiences

Every listing comes directly from a real couple sharing their celebration. All listings are reviewed by our team before going live.

Couples Approve Every Guest

Hosts review each request and personally decide who joins their celebration. No one is ever automatically admitted.

Private & Secure Payments

All payments are processed through Stripe. Cards are authorized at request and only charged after the couple approves.

Identity verification

Verified Identities & Fraud Prevention

We partner with Stripe Identity to help verify government-issued IDs, match biometric selfies, and detect potentially fraudulent activity. Verification helps ensure that hosts and guests are genuine participants on the platform.

  • Government-issued ID verification
  • Biometric selfie matching
  • Fraud and risk screening
  • Verification required for hosts and guests
Guest access

Thoughtful Guest Access

Only confirmed guests receive event details such as venue information, arrival guidance, seating instructions, and any celebration-specific expectations set by the couple. This helps maintain a more private, intentional, and secure experience for everyone attending.

Guests are expected to respect all event guidelines established by the couple and venue.

Our design principles

Designed for Respectful Participation

Not a Wedding Crasher is built around consent, transparency, and mutual comfort. Couples choose who they invite. Guests introduce themselves before attending. No one is ever automatically admitted to a wedding.

Support

Dedicated Support When it Matters

Our team is available to assist with safety concerns, suspicious behavior, urgent issues, or questions related to an upcoming event. We review every report carefully and may remove users or listings that violate our standards.
